The Tapered Torpedo is a specialised instrument for crown and bridge preparation. Its tapered body performs fast, even axial reduction, while the torpedo tip cuts a chamfer with a clean, reproducible profile that the laboratory can read on the die without guesswork.

The burs work on the shark-tooth principle: as the upper layer of diamond grains wears away, fresh grains from the layers beneath are automatically exposed. Cutting efficiency therefore stays constant instead of declining over the life of the instrument.
