Premium burs cost more than standard ones, but they last three to five times longer, so the cost per preparation ends up lower. That is exactly what the Premium designation stands for, and what justifies the difference in price.

Model 033 combines a convex bud-shaped body with a distinctly sharp, pointed tip. That geometry lets you contour broader tooth surfaces and then reach into the narrowest fissures and proximal spaces with the same instrument, without changing burs mid-preparation.

Main applications

• Occlusal morphology: cutting deep, sharply defined fissures in molars so the restoration reads as natural anatomy.
• Contouring and smoothing of larger surfaces such as cusps and palatal aspects.
• Marginal finishing: the pointed tip works right at the preparation margin while the convex body keeps the handpiece away from the gingiva.

The burs work on the shark-tooth principle: as the upper layer of diamond grains wears away, fresh grains from the layers beneath are automatically exposed. Cutting efficiency therefore stays constant instead of declining over the life of the instrument.
