Premium burs cost more than standard ones, but they last three to five times longer, so the cost per preparation ends up lower. That is exactly what the Premium designation stands for, and what justifies the difference in price.

The Round End Taper is indispensable in prosthodontics. It removes tooth structure in a controlled way while simultaneously defining the finish line, so axial reduction and margin preparation happen in a single movement rather than as two separate steps.

The burs work on the shark-tooth principle: as the upper layer of diamond grains wears away, fresh grains from the layers beneath are automatically exposed. Cutting efficiency therefore stays constant instead of declining over the life of the instrument.
