Premium burs cost more than standard ones, but they last three to five times longer, so the cost per preparation ends up lower. That is exactly what the Premium designation stands for, and what justifies the difference in price.

Model 274 is a specialised short flame that offers a deliberate compromise between removal rate and control. The reduced working length means less flex and less unintended contact, which matters when you are finishing a surface you have already shaped.

The burs work on the shark-tooth principle: as the upper layer of diamond grains wears away, fresh grains from the layers beneath are automatically exposed. Cutting efficiency therefore stays constant instead of declining over the life of the instrument.
