Premium burs cost more than standard ones, but they last three to five times longer, so the cost per preparation ends up lower. That is exactly what the Premium designation stands for, and what justifies the difference in price.

Model 277, known as the Egg, is a variation on the convex form that is fuller in the belly and shorter than the classic football. The shorter working length gives you more control in confined spaces, which is why it has become a standard for anterior aesthetic work.

The burs work on the shark-tooth principle: as the upper layer of diamond grains wears away, fresh grains from the layers beneath are automatically exposed. Cutting efficiency therefore stays constant instead of declining over the life of the instrument.
