WILOFA® RETARD multi-layer Premium diamond burs for the turbine (FG). Pack of 3. Multi-layer RETARD burs are proven to last longer than conventional diamond burs, which makes a measurable difference to both economy and reliability in daily practice.

Premium burs cost more than standard ones, but they last three to five times longer, so the cost per preparation ends up lower. That is exactly what the Premium designation stands for, and what justifies the difference in price.

Where a classic round-ended cylinder (156) cuts a deep groove, the Round Edge Cylinder in models 157 and 158 produces a rounded shoulder. That margin form distributes stress instead of concentrating it, which is exactly what metal-free ceramic crowns require if they are to resist chipping at the margin.

The burs work on the shark-tooth principle: as the upper layer of diamond grains wears away, fresh grains from the layers beneath are automatically exposed. Cutting efficiency therefore stays constant instead of declining over the life of the instrument.
